Celtic Blade scimitar has Seahorse head and a wooden handle. It has celtic design embossed on the blade.  Balanced for dancing.

Celtic blade scimitar has Seahorse head and a wooden handle. Seahorse has red jeweled eyes and the fish on the "handprotector" has blue jeweled eyes. It has a celtic design embossed on the blade.  Choice of silver-tone or golden handles

36" in length. Actual weight approximately 2 lbs 10 ounces. Sword is NOT notched.

As a belly dancer I have performed with various props. These include course scimitar or sword. Working with these props I have over time developed an appreciation for them with regard to detail. This is the reason that I have utterly fallen in love with this scimitar.  
This particular scimitar is perfect for belly dance performances in both appearance and practicality.It has a beauty from its handle to its blade. The part of the handle where the scimitar is held is where the wood is placed I believe this has a practical reason as well as for the way it looks. A wooden handle may be more comfortable to hold than a metal handle as it is a softer material. It also will not be heated as quickly from stage lights and the dancers body heat I know from personal experience during a long sword performance using a sword which had a metal handle. The weight of it is perfect influence.
